I'd like to see what kind of podcasts the forumgoers listen to. So post your favorite podcasts and the feed urls. Share your taste with the world!

Escape Pod: http://escape.extraneous.org/podcast.xml

Weekly science fiction shorts rated from G - R. Some are really good, some... well, meh. Overall a good podcast.

Unfortunately, most of the linux-only podcasts out there are pretty painful to listen to. :( I tried listening to The Linux Action Show for a month or so, but hearing them say "a whole nother" instead of "another" at least twice an episode made me go crazy. :P

Thankfully, Leo Laporte is linux-friendly and has some really great stuff out there: TWiT, Security Now, Net@Nite, and so on.

Well obviously The Linux Action Show:

http://www.linuxactionshow.com/

(The Ultimate in Linux)

Also, The Time Traveler's Show

http://www.timetravelershow.com/

It's a sci-fi podcast.

The LibriVox Community Podcast

(I won't give you the link because unless you're in the LibriVox community, you won't really care for it).

Once I get time I will listen to Escape Pod.

And finaly

<Drum Role>

My (Crappy, but will get better in about three episodes) Podcast...

OpenSciFi

http://feeds.feedburner.com/OpenSciFi

This is a podcast aimed mostly towards classic Sci-Fi. (Sorry but modern isn't in the Public Domain). It also includes some random articles of news I've found. A short game review. Some music to listen too. And in a one episode, (as soon as I edit it down two) with a co-host to improve the quality. Enjoy

(Most of these features don't come in until later episodes)

Its not really a PodCast but more of a podBook but I have been listening to the 7th Son Trilogy by J. C. Hutchins. The only thing that I can say without spoiling the plot is that it starts out with a 4 year old killing the President.

Whoa. Sounds cool. Anything like Dan Brown? The website bears likeness to his style.

@mrgnash: wow, time to spare. when do you find time to listen to this much?

Mostly when I'm eating breakfast/dinner/lunch, or performing a task that doesn't demand a great deal of my mental resources to successfully perform. I always feel slightly guilty unless my mind is occupied with learning something, and that's why I love audiobooks and podcasts; they allow me to continue learning at those times when reading is not a practical option ;)

Thanks a lot mrgnash, I'll be checking some of these out

You are welcome, I hope you find at least some of them informative and thought-provoking :)

And thankyou to aspro for that list. I can see a few there that I'll be adding to my repository of feeds in Rhythmbox.

The Linux Link Tech Show - http://www.thelinuxlink.net/tllts/tllts_ogg.rss

Awesome show that's made live every Wednesday starting at 8:30 US EST. Usually wise to get on early for the pre-show banter. They put the show out in OGG and MP3 formats that night, too, so you can listen to it the next day.

Note: Not always safe for work. There is cursing in almost every show. You have been warned.
