For those who use Adobe Reader, Adobe has brought out version 8.1.1 for Linux, a handy .deb file is available too:

The most important feature is the ability to edit pdf files if the pdf creator set the permission to do so.

I've noticed it's a lot faster than 7.0. It used to have a ton of lag and felt sluggish, but it's a lot faster now.:)

Even so, it's a good update. I use mainly ePDFview for PDF viewing, but it's nice to have the full-fledged product for more complex documents.

I also noticed it's a lot lighter on the resources too. This is a big improvement over 7.1
The Firefox plugin alone in 7.1 used to take up 50MB of RAM :o
In 8.1 it's only 12MB

Is it just me or is it not possible to print something landscape with 8.1? If I go to print and select landscape, it doesn't change anything. Am I missing something?
