Does anyone using a SIP client want to give me a quick call? I just got WengoPhone, and I want to make sure it works okay.

That is odd. I've been able to make test calls fine; I can hear myself and everything. Further tests are in order...

perhaps this is a codec incompatibility issue between wengo and gizmo? but this is my first time contacting a wengo account

Could you try calling again? I think I might have fixed the problem.

you can also use xlite for linux
I tried it with freeworlddialup for a sip account and it worked fine.
You can only register one sip account with xlite at a time.
And I dont know where they put it on the file system. It has a reasonably easy configuration wizard.

If you want, you can link a sip account to a free washington state phone number
and link that to a free LOCAL phone number at google grand central.
this will give you free incoming calls from the regular phone network
