I live in a small town called Potteville just southwest of Lansing. I was wondering if anyone knows if there are Ubuntu users that live near Lansing, Mi. It seems as though many of use that live in Michigan are far away from each other. I am a Moderator for u4us in the Yahoo Groups if anyone would be interested in joining...

I'm pretty far from Lansing, but you should check out the Michigan LoCo if you haven't already. I know there's some guys from the west side, and a bunch near Ann Arbor...

I know it has been a long time since you posted this quote..

Anyway, maybe sometime we could meet and have coffee somewhere central of where we live..

It certainly sounds like it'd be a good LoCo idea. You should join!

Well we could start our own team. You never know it just might take off...

I wouldn't recommend creating a new team. If you make multiple teams in Michigan, it fractures and divides the membership of each. We're stronger together, and anything you want to do in your own little team you can do in the LoCo as it is.

I was wondering why so many forum members do not reveal their actual location. after all it would be a good idea so that maybe some would be willing to have a visitation somewhere close to everyone. Way back when the local Bulletin Boards were popular, members would gather somewhere to have coffee and chat. So do we hide or what?
