Hey i was just wondering does anyone know when the next version of Ubuntu is going to be released? I'm sure i heard something about someone time in October is this correct?

And does anyone know what changes will be added and what will it be called etc. Pretty much does anyone have any information about the next update for Ubuntu thanks.

After Gutsy, the next scheduled release is April 2008 (8.04). Ubuntu is on a 6 month release cycle.

It's coming out the 18th of October. It's 7.10.

Hardy Heron...the start of the 8.x series doesn't come out til april of next year.

I'm looking forward to Gutsy. Feisty Fawn has been great thus far, in fact it's been my longest lived Linux install. I've had a lot of different distros in the past, but none have had the longevity Feisty had.

The numbers refer to the date : October 2007 = 7.10, April 2008 = 8.04 etc.
