Mirco (http://ubuntuforums.org/member.php?u=67328), the author of Cairo-Clock and LowFat, among other things, announced in his last blog post (http://macslow.thepimp.net/?p=144) that he joined Canonical.
I'm not sure what exactly his position will be, but a great transfer in any case. He's a very talented programmer, and from what I've read of him so far, an all round great guy.

Mac Slow really does some awesome stuff, and hopefully we'll see 3d effects integrated more seamlessly into ubuntu (think slickboot and face browser login)

Congrats to him, I wish the best of luck.
Maybe someday I'll work for Canonical, if I ever start learning to code and do better artwork.

That's cool. I remember seeing some of the stuff he did when I first started using Ubuntu, and I was amazed. He's very talented.
