Hello, I have a LOCKED Seagate ST1.2 drive that says for embedded use only. I got it working in a SanDisk ImageMate 12 in 1 card reader but it will not work in my PDA for example. Does anyone know a way to get it to work in something like an iPAQ?

Is this not a FAT32 / FAT16 issue maybe ?

If it indeed is a firmware lock then maybe browse through this thread, http://forums.vr-zone.com/showthread.php?t=51158

That thread is too lomng to read it all but my problem is that the drive is locked into IDE mode. I need to unlock it to be ATA mode.
