You see, I need to start graphing with numbers and such, so I'm just wondering - is there such a program that could work like the TI calculators at school, or perhaps even better?

I've tried something called "GraphThing," but it's hard as hell to figure out with the GUI. I'm also trying "Genius Math Tool," but it seems to be command line based, and I'm not sure how it will help me, let alone how to even work it...

The default calculator can actually do a lot. Just change the view to scientific.

It can't plot graphs.

To the OP, the only good apps I know of that'll work on Linux are Mathematica and Maple. On the downside, they're proprietary and expensive.

Try graphmonkey and/or snac.

try genius math tool. It's in the repos and acts a hell of a lot like a ti-83, 89 or similar, IMO.
