This is more than a list of Power Hogs. This is a place to complain about whats dragging your system down. Hopefully we can Identify the biggest offenders and hopefully make and find suggestions. Please state the WN you are using and the system hog offender.
Note if I had a 3ghz with a gig ram this would not make a difference but im not so.
RIght now my biggest beaf is with clock applet, memory- 17.6mb, virtual memory- 17.6mb, resident memory- 8.6mb, shared memory- 6.8mb.
I realy like the clock app but dont want it running like it is, be nice if the calander launched like a seperate app
Cant state the numbers on the backport clam anti-virus but all its deamons and components where taking up huge amounts of ram, after uninstall I noticed a huge difference.
