So I am taking an "information Security" class this semester at my University and I'm pretty excited. It seems like near the end we will cover some stuff that is actually useful (snort, kerberos, firewalls). I am hoping that I will learn enough to be able to configure a fairly secure Ubuntu server, and understand the reasons behind my security choices. Anyway I am planning on blogging about the lecture for now and eventually do a fresh install and try and be as secure as possible.
