Does anyone use iPod linux? I was just wondering because I've been trying to install it (www.ipodlinux.org/main_page) but I keep getting error message from the installer (using windows installer on other windows machine, linux one refuses to run) and its insanely annoying. I'm using the 2G white iPod nano and have no clue what generation it is, and frankly don't care. Also, is iPod linux better than rockbox? Because rockbox is pretty sweet but, by the looks of iPod linux, ipod linux is better.

Considering the last update to ipodlinux was back in May, it doesn't look like the project is active anymore. Also, I don't think the nano works with ipodlinux.

I use Rockbox, and it's pretty darn good.

Rockbox has lots of games, utilities, and plays every audio format out there, pretty much. Depends on what you are looking to get out of your iPod, I suppose, vs. ipodlinux.

I used to run iPodLinux on my 4GB nano until it broke. It was nice. Now I just use the standard apple firmware, since it's already full (80GB)
