In my town, on September 1st and 2nd were held many classical concerts...most of them outdoors.

Lots of them are now available on one of Switzerland's radio station site.
Enjoy!
Schubertiade (http://www.schubertiade.ch/audio.html)

Seems the above link no longer works...so thnx to "pp." we've got a new one:

To celebrate it's 120th birthday, the Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest is offering 10 symphonies for free download. The files are 320 kbps mp3's. You have to register to download them though. The site is in Dutch, but navigating it shouldn't be hard. The downloads are on until 24 November 2008

FRIBOURG (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fribourg#Geography)

I spent a couple of days in Murcia and enjoyed it very much. Then we went down to Mojacar and spent 6 weeks there. Lots of fun...pehaps just a little too many "non-natives" in that part of the world. But that's how the cookie crumbles these days!

I also used to be good friends with the Andreo Family who lived here MANY years. They ran a café/bar but now went back to their hometown: Vélez Blanco where they own a small hotel/bar which used to be a mill.

Went 3 times to Barcelona, too and loved it there, too.

Let me know if you ever get to Fribourg.

I too love classical music. Much thanks for sharing! I do have one small request:
I can't read the language, could you post the titles in English? I organize my music collection so that the filenames read <artist>-<album>-<track no>.<title> (or <artist>-<title>, if album & track number are unavailable) and I would love to know!
As far as I can tell, it's:

Le Choeur Novantiqua -> this is the artist
Une jeune fillette et autres pièces de la Renaissance française. -> this is the title
is that correct?

also, they are all Schubert ubless the file specifically says Debussy, right?

Sorry about all the questions. I'm a bit OCD when it comes to my files!

use google translate (french -> english), and try to fix any grammatical errors

(oh, the title that you just posted is actually a description, something about the French Renaissance...)

other than that, you'll have to find a French speaker

I'll do it with pleasure as soon as I have a little time. Do you want them all translated or just the one you posted?

Obviously the words in bold
are the interpreters be it choirs, duo, solist and so forth.

Let me know...

PS: I doubt Google would be much help in case. It doesn't really "think".

The composer is the name you can see written there. f.ex. the 2nd one is Luigi Boccherini (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luigi_Boccherini)

However, the orchestra and the conductor are still alive. Had they been dead for 70+ years, the recordings would not sound quite as - alive - as the records offered for download do.

Of course, you are entirely free to peruse the scores of most of those works, as the composers have been indeed dead for 70 years or more.
