I've never even heard of the show (is it on in the states?), but I saw the ad on Digg a few days ago. It was awesome!

We just got it on G4 Tech in Canada. I don't think it's gonna air in the states though, they are making an Americanized adaptation of the show for them (like the Office). I don't think it'll be as funny though.

IT Crowd (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_IT_Crowd)
IT Crowd US (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_IT_Crowd_%28US_TV_series%29)

It's a shame they only did 12 episodes over two seasons so far, they are damn funny :).

The show last Friday was epic and will become one of the most legendary IT Crowd episodes ever.

A rare moment of genuine funiness from the second series.

Anyone else think it's not up to the standard the first series was?

There was some commercials on British TV equating copying a movie to an act of terrorism, so it's not far fetched. :lolflag:

I found this on Youtube as well, since when do pirates pirate medicine?? Oh no - we are all going to die because we downloaded 50 Cent's album. lol

Edit: I must stress that I've never illegally downloaded a fake Laptop.

I found the commercial I was talking about:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wssfl22Hhp4

Some tidbits:
"Piracy funds terrorism"
"The Pirates are out to get you"

Don't worry, the NINJAs will protect you! :)

How in hell does Internet piracy fund terrorism? Doesnt it actually cost the people that rip it to buy the album? How is going to OiNK or some other tracker and downloading a new album fund terrorism?

Piracy helps the environment. For every movie you download instead of buying the DVD, you help reduce of five pounds of CO2 emissions in the air, not to mention the gas consumed driving to the store or shipping the DVD to your home. The environment and your children's future is counting on you. Please respect the environment and pirate all your movies! Together we can make a difference!

Notice how they did say "stop buying pirated movies." I think they're targetting off the street DVD sales very common in places like New York and San Francisco, and a lot of other cities around the world. The whole "they're copying electronics and medicine too!" comes from the hundreds of iPod knock-offs and DVD players and crappy trinkets. And counterfeit prescription medicine made by actual criminals.

Of course, you can help fight that piracy by downloading movies off the Internet, instead of buying them on the street and funding criminals. At least I think that's the message here. :)

When I watched this, I found it funny that a show that gets pirated so much has a parody of an anti-piracy ad. I wonder if they did it as a "we know people pirate this show, but it's alright with us" kind of thing. I hope so :)

Lol I hope your being sarcastic, its spoofing the anit-piracy clips that make themselves known at the start of every movie these days (thats only the commercially bought movies though you understand)
