Do you send a cover letter with it?

There's a hospital nearby I want to get into, but they have all of their hiring done online. So I can't exactly go in and physically hand somebody a resume and cover letter. However, do I just tack on the cover letter as page 2 of the resume document? Or should I even bother? I've heard mixed things on cover letters. Some people praise them, others don't even bother with them.

You should always send a cover letter with your resume.

You can send both as attachments, or the cover letter as body as the e-mail and the resume as the attachment.

You could have a short introduction at the top of your resume. Something saying "Objective" or so.

I do have an objective on my resume.

I decided not to send the cover letter with it, because I can only send 1 file. It's either resume, or resume + cover letter. Since it said NOTHING about cover letter, I decided to send just my resume.

After sending your resume, there's a section to fill out a basic application. On there is where they have a body of empty text where you can paste your cover letter over.

So, nonetheless my question was answered as I pursued more heavily into the application process. And an hour later, I'm finally done! Ahh yes, isn't technology great? I'm sitting in my boxers on a wednesday afternoon applying for IT specialist positions. Weeeeeeeeeee!!

You could just make the cover letter the first page in the resume.odt/resume.pdf (or .doc if the silly people require .docs)
