Hi everyone,

I am new to Linux and I am trying to learn more about it.

Currently, I was told by someone that I can use GCompris for educational programs for my daugther. I had loaded GCompris from the Add/Remove. But for the life of me, I can not figured how to use it.:confused::confused:

Can any one help me on this? The only thing I see is GCompris Administration shortcut, and I don't know what I needed to do to it. :(:(:(

There should be a launcher for it under Games. If it's not there open a terminal (Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal) and type "gcompris" and see if its starts, or post any errors it lists.
Once you get it running it's fairly self-explanatory.
Another app you can look at is "Childsplay", although there's not much to it at this point, but it's one to watch as it develops.

Be sure to install these packages too, they are needed for Gcompris work correctly:

sudo apt-get install gcompris-sound-en gnucap tuxpaint
