As promised I'm back, Dinner is cooking

So since this is an international forum I thought it would be interesting to compare what food cost.

Location: Silver Spring, MD (Suburban DC)
Store: Safeway
Purpose: Dinner Items, breakfast and lunch items

Bananas 2.07 lbs @ $O.49/lb
Mushrooms(silver) 0.40 lbs @ $3.59/lb
Black Mission Figs $4.99 for 16 ounce container

ok gotta go more later...

You'll have to convert this into metric and your local currency.....

Kielbasa sausage, 2 lb peeled shrimp (dawts were not available), pablano peppers, short grain rice, corn, green beans, mushrooms, kidney beans, lima beans, white onions, ochra, red bell peppers.

That was todays cart. I make a mean mess of jumbalaya. I've left out the key spices I use as it's a family tradition.

Today's shopping included enough precooked sausauges for 8 meals for the family, at about $2.56(NZ) for 8 sausages, and 1kg of frozen vegetables @ approx. $2
