Something similar to the introductory article linked from http://lxer.com/module/newswire/view/91871/index.html may be suitable for submitting to Oklahoma newspapers. Any other thoughts?

(http://news.independent.co.uk/sci_tech/article2904210.ece is the link for the article itself.)

I like the idea, especially the part in the article comparing, Ubuntu, Madriva, Vista, and XP, it puts a lot in front of the reader to digest, but its very informative. If there is someone that is really good with words, or their hobby is writing, or just wants a to take a shot at it, go for it.

It would be easy to try and get this into the Oklahoman, they have a section of the paper that is dedicated to reader stories and articles. You can submit them on the website, but its community specific, so it may limit readers, and it may be best to send it to the editor.

I would be all for doing it, but I am not one to do a good write up.

Lets get a real grass-roots startup for open-source software in Oklahoma.

I do have one suggestion though, that whoever decides to start the article use google docs so that everyone can collaborate on the article, this would make it easier than using the mailing list or the forums, IMO.
