Hi,
I wanted to take a look at the new Fedora 8 test 1 Dev release. Of course I wanted to try it first in a VM. But when I try to boot the LiveCD in VirtualBox, I get a kernel panic :(

Has anybody tried it and got it working?

TIA,
greets, Beliar

Since its a liveCD, try booting it normally to see if its the CD or an issue with VB. I would also doublecheck the SHA1SUM of the download (Fedora uses sha1 not md5, no idea why).

Well I couldnt burn and try it yet, but I downloaded it via BitTorrent, which should automatically check Integrity.

I have the same problem. You have to compile and install vbox from svn because it's known issue.

I compiled it but now it won't run cos it say's kernel mismatch. I don't need the extra headache so I can't be bothered wasting time trying to sort it out.
