There are any number of ways to install applications on your system. In an attempt to create a more viable climate of installation for the end user, and during a discussion with some dev counterparts at my company, we came across this --


Now whether or not you choose to use specific mediums to install packages on your system, I wonder how something like zero-install would affect package installation to say, a beginner?

I think it's pretty cool, I always liked how you could loopmount install images in MacOS to just run locally. It's a really cool concept. And it seems to be well developed or atleast getting there.
