This is a cool site I found. It tests your Javascript/PHP/HTML skills. Currently, I am at Level 7.

Check the source.

That might have ruined it for him.

Oops. But even if you do check the source, it still can be tricky. Not in the first, but in ones farther on.

I'm all good now. At level 4 now :).

I knew I had to check the source. It just wasn't as obvious as other hack sites I've been to.

Level 7 is hard. If you get, please help me.
Edit:
PM me if you understand Level 7

Guys, be considerate. Most people will not want hints. Use white text and a "spoiler:" for hints.

I can't get level 3

Spoilers don't work on text browsers or Dillo. PM me if you know the answer to 7.

Pffft. What a lame hacker skill test.

It doesn't even test your knowledge of 1337 speak or Naruto episodes.

If you can get past Level 9 I dub you as a certified genius. Seriously.

First, this site is about cracking, not hacking. Big difference, despite what the media would have you believe.

Second, Firefox's Firebug extension is a big help.

Third, level 9 did me in.

Heh, Level 9 DOES require programming knowledge. I really didn't want to, but I had to Google it. You've been warned.

Level9 wasn't too hard.

I don't think it requires programming knowledge...

Cracker is a subset of hacker.

I guess maybe not if you know how to encode in your brain.

Level 10 is doing me in. Is anyone anywhere near that?

You need Javascript knowledge.

The first seven levels are easy. They all have to do with viewing the source. 8 is the first one to give me any trouble at all. Here's spoilers (in white text) for all of them that I've done so far:

Level 1
URL: http://www.hackerskills.com/
Method: View Source to get password.
Solution: "null"

Level 2
URL: http://www.hackerskills.com/null.htm
Method: View Source again.
Solution: "l3l"

Level 3
URL: http://www.hackerskills.com/l3l.htm
Method: View source again... the password is equal to the color of "alink".
Solution: "#000000"

Level 4
URL: http://www.hackerskills.com/abrae.htm
Method: Umm... am I missing something?
Solution: Click the link.

Level 5
URL: http://www.hackerskills.com/sdrawkcab.htm
Method: View source... You know... I'm sensing a theme here...
Solution: "SAvE-as hELpS a lOt"

Level 6
URL: http://www.hackerskills.com/save_as.htm
Method: View javascript file: "pwd.js". Finally something other than "View Source!"
Solution: "hackerskills123"

Level 7
URL: http://www.hackerskills.com/included.htm
Method: View /images/included.gif
Solution: u:"phat" / p: "jerkybar3"

Level 8
URL: http://www.hackerskills.com/pwd2.php
Method: View phat.php to get the background image, /images/phat.gif. View that and it tells you to look for a .PSD. Open phat.psd (use the GIMP if you don't have Photoshop). Remove watermarks. This is utterly retarded.
Solution: u: "zadmin" / p: "stebbins"

Level 9
URL: http://www.hackerskills.com/phat.htm
Method: View source to get a weird looking string. It's Base 64 encoded, so use a PHP page to run in through base64_decode().
Solution: http:// www . hackerskills . com / gazebruh . htm

Hope that helps... I'll be adding more once I pass them.
