I used to have a nice little program on windows that would generate a variety of basic maths worksheets (Worksheet Factory http://www.schoolhousetech.com/Products/BasicFacts/).

I can't get this running properly under WINE (It loads, but it faults when you try to create half the worksheets). I was wondering if anyone knew of anything similar for linux or had managed to get it working?

I did a quick google search for "linux worksheet generator" and this

http://www.linuxforkids.org/edu_math.html

popped up.

Hope it helps.

Otherwise my math profs have a habit of building theirs manually in LaTeX. Not automatic, but once you get a pretty good list typeset you can simply copy and paste new combinations together pretty easially.

Thanks for the link. Not really what I'm looking for I'm afraid, but I shall keep searching.

Yes, it is possible to set up some templates, but you still have to manually change the numbers if you want to give a similar worksheet to your students. This tool saved me some time, that's all.

Good luck then. Sorry the link was not of more help.

No, I gave up. I haven't tried it in ages. A newer version of wine might have solved the problem I suppose.
