So, I got a free webcam yesterday from a friend because it didn't work in windows (but it works quite well in linux *surprise* *Surprise*).

Hilarity Ensues.... well.... it's not extremely funny, but if I can put my cat and stuffed penguin in a picture mutilating WinXP, it's funny to me.

lol, Good point... i don't think i would've looked into it that closely. :-p Not to mention out of context with the quote... but good point anyway. lol.

for the record it is a kensington webcam that kensington never supported windowsxp with. So there are no drivers anywhere for it, without a bunch of shameless hacks.

I would just like a piece of software that will record video from it. Xawtv freezes the image and Kino is only for Firewire.
