Ubuntu for pocket pc

Would ubuntu for pocket pc be able to run programs designed to run in windows mobile?
if not what would be the utility?
Does anyone know?

I don't know about Ubuntu, but I did some googling on this subject once, and they do actually have Linux about to run in a windows mobile machine. Unfortunately I my pocketpc's version of linux hasn't been worked out completely yet.
