View Full Version : Question on installing Firefox

OK, I had to reinstall Ubuntu after an issue with Ult. Ubuntu and am trying to get Firefox updated to the present release.

I can download it but when the updates kick in later for Dapper, will this louse things up?

Also, is there a way through synaptic to upgrade to the newest version?

Anything else you might think of that I didn't cover as far as upgrades go, toss it in. Could use the help. ;)

Oh, as for the issue with Ultimate Ubuntu....I couldn't access the windoze drive at all after installing it. My wife has a lot of files on it that she needs for work. She's a teacher.

Once I get all those moved to another machine though....it's gonna be good-bye windoze!

Not sure about Firefox. Have you checked to see what the latest version in the repos is? You may be able to get the latest version only from Firefoxes site.
I'm a bit confused about the Dapper thing. Are you running Dapper? I'm not sure they are keeping up the repos all the software updates so you may have to go to the firefox site.
