Hi everyone, I've finally dumped XP, and am running Fiesty 64 bit as my only operating system. So far I seem to be able to do everything I need with Ubuntu. I'll let you know how I get on.

Welcome to Ubuntu my friend. I know you're gonna like it. Let me know how you like 64 bit, I'm thinking of switching to 64 bit with Gutsy.

Thank you for your welcome. I must admit, it's a bit scary, after so many years of using Windows, but I like a challenge, and I've had lot's of great help from this forum before, so I don't think that there should be any serious problems that I can't solve.

Since you haven't settled into Gnome properly yet, maybe you'll consider a better desktop environment....KDE! (http://kde.org) ;)
