Which one do you think is better. Think about speed, efficiency, Hardware detection, etc.

Speed : Slack
Efficiency : Slack
Hardware detection : Draw

But Debian also has a lot of advantages odver Slack, for example the much higher number of available packages.

Slackware is a lot more customizable out of the box, whereas with Debian you have to tinker with the system just to customize it (At least from what I've noticed). If you don't mind doing things with sub-par efficiency (Not meaning bad, but obviously not the best) then Debian is good. Slackware is good for those people who want to control all libraries on their system, and manually do everything. Debian's pretty manual too, but it's definitely a lot more automated than Slackware is.

To end my rambling, I'd say Debian is better in most situations, but Slack is good if you know what you're doing; I couldn't get Slack to install right, I had problems with the kernel but I ended up just giving up on it.
