Never tame ones, and certainly not someone's pet. When I was younger, I used to hunt rabbits (and squirrels and deer and quail and dove) every year when they were in season. Properly cooked, thems good eatun. ;)

It's been a few years since I last hunted though. Now dad and I mostly stick to fishing.

Hmmm, anyone who says "Can you eat them?" obviously has never been to South Wales or the east coast of Spain, where they are both staples of the diet.. although less so in Wales these days.

The original paella, from El Palmer south of Valencia, is traditionally made with chicken and rabbit, and is delicious - I've tried it :)

Well, I wouldn't call bunnies "staples of the diet". Anyway, what do I know. I live in the basque country, where it isn't hot, it isn't sunny and an important percentage of the population (probably over 20%) don't want to be spanish. But yes, we do eat rabbit with some frequency.

Back to bunnies, they were the appeal of the video game "Rayman Raving Rabbids". I mean, they looked soo cute and soo mad...
