I should mention that I personally love the Open Source Operating System Distribution called ‘Linux Mint’ as my favorite thing to use at home. Linux Mint is based on Ubuntu which is based or a type of Debian Linux. The beauty of all this Open Source stuff is that groups of programmers keep making better versions and the quality of the software evolves quickly. I also highly recommend Xandros or Linspire to someone who wants to use Linux for the first time with no hassles.

I would not recommend Linspire or Xandros for anyone. They are much better off using Linux Mint, Ubuntu or PCLinuxOS if they are new.

These are free and Linux Mint is easier to use then Xandros even.

Linux Mint is way better than MSLinux (aka Linspire, Xandros, OpenSUSE) don't bother the risk of getting sued by MS.

since their dance with the devil, i don't know if linspire and xandros are regarded as open source anymore, though i haven't tried them, so could be wrong.

I edited it a lot, cut its size down more then half, removed the pop out login box, removed clock/time, removed downdrop menu, removed 27KB background, fixed links, changed logo. Its Open Source and if anyone wants my improvements I will give it to them.
