I have a tv tuner card in my pci slot of my pc, I am looking to get it working with mythtv but first I need to find out the exact make of the pci card. aMSN mentioned in the webcam set up that it is a hauppauge card but that was all the information it gives, how do I tell what make/model it is?

Install this:

sudo apt-get install hwinfo

Then type

hwinfo

in a terminal and it will list hardware details.

Cool. That would be handy as hell for commercial hardware documentation.

Thanks, but I'm still not able to tell as I think its being called a multimedia device or something like that and doesn't display the model name, any other methods?

I checked that but it doesnt have any label on or any name/model number on the disc.

On aMSN's webcam settings, I got it to display 'hauppauge wintv p' but I still cant tell the model number as the text box will not expand, any more ideas?
