Hello,
What do you call the device or function that logs time whenever you press a button on the device?

This is NOT a computer-hardware question.

I'm trying to find the right word. Some words that I've thought of, but are not exactly it, are stopwatch, and timer, and chronograph.
Stopwatches start at 0:00:00. But what I'm thinking about are those devices that start at the current time ("Timing Point 1"), and then logs future whatever time (Timing Point 2 or 3 or 4 or...) it is whenever you press a/the button on the device.

Yeah, I guess something like that. Is there a "digital" term for that?
You see, I'm trying to find some sort of "punchclock" program for my Palm pda.
