Ok I came across an AI like program awhile ago in Windows 98. Basically it was a program that mocked learning and you could actually hold a conversation with (though it became bias towards the answers you wanted after awhile). I was wondering if there are any similar Linux programs out there or if there is a rather good Linux AI like project etc... out there?

Any ideas please lemme know, I do realize true AI is a loooong way off but it is an interesting concept.

I did just a quick search and found this: http://tldp.org/HOWTO/AI-Alife-HOWTO.html ;
though I haven't read it.

I remember there was an AI for windows, which had a very simple "scripting" language. Don't remember the name... maybe alice?
I liked that project a lot :D

edit: As I read in Steveway's post, yep it's alice :P

Ask her if she likes Microsoft lol. I also asked her if she was intelligent or programmed to respond to common questions, she said she was intelligent lol. I then asked her what her favorite animal was? She said a cat so I asked her why a cat? She got all confused then lol.

And yes, the emacs I used in FC 1 had one. It was the gui version of emacs.
