I never had much of a problem with dusty windows on my vehicle. Of course, I grew up on a gravel road, so it didn't make much sense to wash the vehicles more than every other month or so. ;)

my question is how does this guy get his car so dirty, I thought that was volcanic ash when I first saw it.

Like I used to, he probably lives on a gravel road. That much dust would build up in just a few days in the dry part of the summer. Even quicker if the road gets a lot of traffic.

If someone drew the the first initial image shown by RAV in this thread, I would start inquiring as to how to make it permanent!

When I sold the car I'd replace the rear window.

I wonder if a fine mist of clear coat, applied at low pressure from a distance, would work if you allowed it to settle onto the window like fog? Probably not, but I bet it would still look pretty interesting.

I would think a professional spray painter could probably handle the job.
