What is a LoCo Team?

From the Ubuntu Wiki https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LoCoFAQ

A LoCo Team is a Local Community of (in our case) Ubuntu users. A LoCo can involve a lot of things such as local promoting, support in the local language, general support to local users and much more. Most importantly however, it lets people find other Ubuntu users near them.
If you live in Michigan, and enjoy Ubuntu, WE WANT YOU!

Here are some of the team's resources:

LoCo Directory http://loco.ubuntu.com/teams/ubuntu-michigan

Wiki page https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MichiganTeam

Michigan Team Mailing List ubuntu-us-mi@lists.ubuntu.com
to subscribe use this page: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-us-mi

IRC Channel: #ubuntu-us-mi on irc.freenode.net

Don't forget to join --> https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-michigan

If you have any questions, feel free to send me a PM or email.

This is a good LoCo team. I'm thinking the more Ubuntu computers are sold the larger this group will grow ;)

Quick question:

This topic states the IRC channel is #ubuntu-michigan @ irc.freenode.net

However, Launchpad states #ubuntu-us-michigan

:confused:

Joshua,

Sorry, the information in that post is outdated. However, the information in Launchpad is correct (#ubuntu-us-mi). And, if you join #ubuntu-michigan you will be automatically redirected to #ubuntu-us-mi.

More Info: there was a policy change in naming of US LoCo team's IRC channels; different name, same great service!
