Hi,
I'm in Washington, PA and was wondering if there was anyone doing anything local to my region. I can help, but with other obligations, I can't lead in this effort.

welcome,
There was a person in irc chat wed night (macoafi@gmail.com) that had stickers he wanted to give someone in the Pittsburgh area. We have a few members in Pittsburgh and a few in the Erie area.
So far it has been difficult pulling everyone together. Hopefully this post will start to gain momentum and lead to a Western PA event.
Mailing list post may also help, info here : https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-us-pa
And people are always lurking in : #ubuntu-pennsylvania channel on irc.freenode.net

Hi all,
I live near Pittsburgh and am from the SW PA area. There used to be a pretty decent WPLUG following here in the city, but I am not sure how well that is doing lately. They held meetings at CMU and organized various functions.

Also, I know that the OhioLinuxFest is coming in September and that it is a relatively large event in Columbus (not that bad of a drive).

The WPLUG is still up and running. They still have meetings and such. I'm subscribed to the mailing list, I've never actually been as I just heard of them a few days ago.
Anyway, I live in Pittsburgh during the summer and I live in Slippery Rock during the school year and I'd be MORE than willing to hand out Ubuntu stuff. I kind of already do it a little on my own to friends and stuff. Nothing big, nothing official. So, let me know what I can do!

There are many here from southwest Pennsylvania. I live on the eastern outskirts of suburban Pittsburgh.
