I'm wondering if there is an open source tool to run queries against Oracle 9i and 10g. The equivalent of sqlplus....

I noticed on the Oracle site that you can download the SQL Developer package, but it is only available in RPM (http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/sql/index.html)

try http://www.oracletool.com/ - just bunch of Perl scripts, you can even customize it if you want.

Aqua Data Studio:

http://www.aquafold.com/
http://www.aquafold.com/downloads.html

Thier latest release is no longer free, but 4.7 is and it works great. Its better than Microsoft Enterprise Manager, and works for like every database that exists.

Its a java app, and runs on windows, linux, and osx.

Thanks for the ideas.

I downloaded monodevelop 0.14, which has an add-on for running queries.
