I read about (http://jamiemcc.livejournal.com/8837.html) the new release (0.6) of Tracker (http://www.gnome.org/projects/tracker/).

That release looks awesome!
Beagle has always been the pretty one, but Tracker is certainly catching up. Now I have a serious dilemma: Should I switch to Tracker, or stick with Beagle?
Opinions?

Beagle if you use gnome, because several of its librarys are needed for gnome.

Huh? None is needed for gnome.

libbeagle0 is needed by nautilus but it's really small, 89.2 kB.

Yep, Ubuntu's version of Nautilus was built with Beagle search integration. It can also be built with Tracker search integration, etc.
(Seems pretty dumb that the search integration is a compile-time thing, but whatever...)
