new member list and new mail list?

Just wondering how good our team list of members is. The one on the website seems old, and new people seem to be popping up here.

Plus I would like to know if we have a good mailing list. If not, could you set one up joey?

I think we should work on that community outreach thing. Perhaps make a list for people who are not members yet, but are interested in Ubuntu. David said we were planning to put together some sort of map of where people willing to help were for schools/new people.

I really like the "starter kit" idea.

It's true that our member list isn't totally updated, but that's mostly because we have a lot of people who sign up for the launchpad team and then do nothing else. To get your name on the website member list you have to create an account, and I don't think we have communicated that enough.

This hurdle will soon be overcome as I have been told that Launchpad will soon support (at the very least) admins mass-mailing their teams. So I can send an email to all of the team members on LP and ask them to join the mailing list.

I must be missing something... I signed up for everything that I could find and yet I'm still not on the website members list? I have an account setup for the website and all... not sure what to do with it. *must be having a newb attack or somethin* :)
