Has anyone successfully built and installed openVPN on Ubuntu? I downloaded the tarball and went thruogh
the general process of:

./configure
make
make install

I honestly did not notice any errors during this process yet when I went into /etc/init.d/ I did not see openvpn as I believe I should have.

I could only find one tarball for openVPN and find it hard to believe that there is only one set of source code for all the architectures (Windows, Mac, Linux, etc)

Since I develop towards embedded products, sometimes I like to perform a native configure, build and install of already available open-source applications prior to taking them to my next step. Has anyone been through this:? I can even find a user friendly forum for openvpn.....
