I recently read about how they made a new list of Eight Wonders of the World, I didn't read too deeply into it but I understand the Egyptian Pyramids are the only thing to remain on the list....

So these are man-made wonders I take it?, what do you think should be on the Eight manmade wonders of the World?

What about an Eight Natural Wonders of the World?

Honestly I think that the manmade wonders could be things other then buildings and such....

Perhaps wonder #2 should be....Linux

Natural Wonders I would include the Northern Lights and Glacier Caves

what do you think?....what would you add to the list?

That I can agree with....

What was the original list?

and what is the new list?

out of all the list I like this one the best:

In November 2006 the American national newspaper USA Today (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USA_Today) in conjunction with the American television show Good Morning America (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Morning_America) revealed a list of "New Seven Wonders" as chosen by six judges.[18] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Wonders_of_the_World#_note-13) The wonders were announced one per day over a week on Good Morning America. An eighth wonder was chosen on November 24 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/November_24) from viewer feedback.[19] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Wonders_of_the_World#_note-14) Number Wonder Location

1 Potala Palace (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potala_Palace) Tibet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tibet), China (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China)
2 Old City of Jerusalem (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_City_%28Jerusalem%29) Israel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel)
3 Polar ice caps (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polar_ice_cap) Polar regions (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polar_region)
4 Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Papah%C4%81naumoku%C4%81kea_Marine_National_Monume nt) Hawaii (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawaii), United States (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States)
5 Internet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet) N/A
6 Mayan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maya_civilization) ruins (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maya_architecture) Yucatán Peninsula (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yucat%C3%A1n_Peninsula), México (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%A9xico)
7 Great Migration of Serengeti (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serengeti_National_Park) and Masai Mara (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masai_Mara) Tanzania (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanzania) and Kenya (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenya)
8 Grand Canyon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Canyon) (viewer-chosen eighth wonder) Arizona (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arizona), United States (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Wonders_of_the_World

I like this one because it does include the Internet, the internet is how most people find Linux, so I 100% agree with this on the list.

Perhaps it shouldn't be limited to seven or eight wonders....how about 18 wonders or more....

Heres an interesting link for the top 100 wonders:

I think one of the man made wonder's should be the Scooby-Doo Chia Pet. It's a wonder that they ever made any money or even enough money to continuously run commercials.

the Large Hadron Collider.

The LHC is exactly what its name suggests - a large collider (http://www.lhc.ac.uk/about-the-lhc/what-is-the-lhc/collider.html) of hadrons (http://www.lhc.ac.uk/about-the-lhc/what-is-the-lhc/hadron-atomic-particle-page.html). Strictly, LHC refers to the collider; a machine that deserves to be labelled ‘large’, it not only weighs more than 38,000 tonnes, but runs for 27km (16.5m) in a circular tunnel 100 metres beneath the Swiss/French border at Geneva.
However, the collider is only one of three essential parts of the LHC project. The other two are:

the detectors (http://www.lhc.ac.uk/about-the-lhc/what-is-the-lhc/detector.html), which sit in 4 huge chambers at points around the LHC tunnel and
the GRID (http://www.lhc.ac.uk/about-the-lhc/what-is-the-lhc/the-grid.html), which is a global network of computers and software essential to processing the data recorded by LHC’s detectors. The LHC’s 27km loop in a sense encircles the globe, because the LHC project is supported by an enormous international community of scientists and engineers. Working in multinational teams, at CERN and around the world, they are building and testing LHC equipment and software, participating in experiments and analysing data. The UK has a major role in leading the project and has scientists and engineers working on all the main experiments.
