We just got 5 or 6 old celerons that might be good for LTSP terminals if we have a place to use them. Does anyone have an underfunded library or youth/community center they can think of that would benefit from this?

Jim and I have been playing the waiting game with the MALT CVG. They are very interested in using LTSP in their upstairs classroom but renovations have slowed things down. So far we got them a server with LTSP fully loaded and functional. Once we them through a demonstration and they understand how it works, they may know of a few good places for LTSP. Jim and I were hoping to get it into their basement lab where they teach a good number of their MALT computer classes.

Any idea what these celerons have for memory and processor speeds?

Yes Alex, the project has taken wings. Anything that anyone has would be appreciated to enhance this project.

Hardware and Elbow Grease are the main items required at the moment.

Brain Cells and Presentations may be required for future phases of the project.

We can all help in some way!

Alex,

If they are still available, we need thin clients for MALT.

The next scheduled meeting is Wed August 29th.

Let us know. I can pick them up.
