I just found out a windows app which seems pretty interesting.
It's called "Dash command" and I invite everyone to look at the video demonstration:
http://www.trydash.com/home/dash-video-tour/

I'm just wondering how cool it would be to have something like that for Ubuntu.

I always thought Gimmie was a great application but this is even cooler, faster and useful.

If I just was an app developer I'd start right now to develop it :)

Have you all a nice day.

Another Quicksilver-inspired Windows app...

Deskbar, which comes preinstalled with Ubuntu, is quite similar.

I'd be embarassed with every letter typed brings up a new piece of porn.

theres already a application called launchy (http://www.launchy.net/) that does the same job. Its open source and free in every meaning.
Its amazing to see how similar Dash is to Launchy, you have to question whether it uses launchy's code

Looks like the lovechild of Deskbar and Affinity, just with more memory leaks.

Deskbar or Affinity, nothing new here. I love his enthusiasm though, in the opening he says that Dash can change your life. I feel bad for the dope that pays for this, 19.95 sucks but the regular price of 50 bucks is comedic.

Hold alt and tap F2, we have the same

Or use http://desktop.google.com/linux

Or, open a terminal. Windows sucks, get over it
