I've been spending WAY too much time playing with ubuntu. themes, compiz, emerald, making stuff work etc...

I used to ride road and mtn bikes between 10-15 hours a week. My fitness has left the building. I used to be able to eat anything in site and not worry about it. Now these things on either side of my waist are growing!

I'm having a blast with it and I guess my body was due for some much needed time off the bike.

I have a picture (not on this machine) of some guy who was having the same problem with his video game addiction so his wife mounted his laptop onto the handlebars of an exercise bike. LOL

i actually had that idea but couldnt afford an excersise bike.
i was also going to put a simple and fun excersise machine in my living room instead of a couch for all the time i used to spend watching tv

how about using a pedal power generator to power your laptop?

And if it doesn't work the first time, slap yourself a couple of times :)

You'll be fine once the novelty wears off ;)

hmmm,

Grab a pic of you when you were slim and one of your fat version.

Make a wallpaper out of them with the before and after theme.

If that doesn't stop you from using the computer, nothing will do.

This is strange. Ubuntu came along at a time when I made a lot of changes in my life. I started weightlifting, took up archery, and installed Linux. Now that I don't stress about my laptop, it's partly why I'm a fitter happier person.

What a pity we can't do sudo aptitude remove --purge bodyfat...

Well the fat lady has sung! (No pun intended) ;)

I've read a lot of problems that Ubuntu "allegedly" did... but this takes the cake! (PUN INTENDED).

Cheer up ole chap. It could be much worse! :)
