Our very own Alex (lamalex) and Lyz (pleia2) were on the radio this past Saturday in Chester County PA. Here's a link for anyone who wants to listen. This is great local exposure! Great Job to Alex and Lyz!

Eek, I asked in channel that it not be posted until the station officially released it on their site (I found it by just punching in the date as the format past shows are uploaded as - bingo!). I doubt we'll get in trouble for ferreting out the URL, but I was a bit concerned that they'd pull it entirely if too many people grabbed it before they had linked it anywhere and I wasn't sure it was polished to their liking. Oh well :)
It was a fun experience that went very well, both hosts were excited about Ubuntu and asked us to come back for a future show, perhaps after they and some of their listeners had tried Ubuntu and had some questions.

Oops, sorry about jumping the gun Lyz! I got the link second hand and didn't see the warning.
Would it be better if I pulled the thread and then reposted it after the link is "official"?

Nah it should be fine :) Holding off on other wide postings until it's public for real though.

Lets us know when its "official". I won't grab it until then. :)

I haven't a clue when it'll be released officially, still not!
But I was able to snag another Ubuntu-Member who had the ability to host the file for us, you can go ahead and download it here: http://geekosophical.net/misc/pleia_on_the_radio.ogg
I'll be submitting this to the UWN folks for inclusion in their section about LoCo teams :)

The show brought back a lot of fond memories. I purchased my first roller skates from Gene and enjoyed skating at his rink for many years!
Lyz and Alex, you were both great!

Lyz did you get any feedback from the rest of the community in regards to the article or people finding the show here? Did you Alex?
Just curious.

I did. All positive, one that I quite liked saying I sounded like "an intelligent woman who uses Linux instead of just a 'geek chick' and that lent an enormous amount of credibility" :). Also, several people asked that we make the next show we do available too, which of course we will!
