I got steam installed using cedega, made sure cedega was emulating winxp. I can get steam to launch perfectly fine, but its when i click launch CSS in Steam that the screen goes black, i can see my cursor, but after about 10 seconds it reverts back to my desktop and nothing happens.

Anyone have future issues like this b4? My one friend told me i should just reformat and reinstall, there has to be a better way.

Have u tried using wine instead of cedega? Have a look at this link and give it a go.

I tried cedega, although it installed ok, the game was not playable.
I followed the above and its running well.

If it's to play CS:S, i advice you to use wine, in few words less bugs better performances.

However no need to link to external non officially supported resources when you have a full official guide with support available here :

the funny thing is that if you use wine it will say to you that your OS isn't supported.. that's why i use Cedega.. and i can play all my games.. except css.. and that really bugs me out! so i was hoping somebody found a way to fix this problem..

thanks in advance.. kj
