Help with Counter Strike 1.6 Non-Steam

Ok, i succeded in installing and running the game with wine but i have 2 issues:
1. I have no in-game sound.
2. I cannot aim with mouse, when I move it it moves mi ingame like i m using WASD.

Any help is much appreciated.

I got the same issue you have (or had). I don't have any in-game sound and i have no i idea why.

Before I installed the patch v22, I could listen to the intro music and etc but after I installed that patch couldn't listen to anything

Make sure you dont have any other processes running that use the sound driver, such as a media player or whatnot.

I am assuming you are using WINE, try setting the driver to OSS in winecfg. Also, try setting the settings to the lowest possible: emulation, 8 bit, 8000 hz

For the mouse, make sure desktop effects are disabled. Also, go to wincfg and make sure "allow the window manager to control the windows" is checked. Also, try checking "allow DirectX apps to stop the mouse leaving their window"

piracy is wrong, don't do it.

delete your illegally downloaded software, remove your wineprefix, download steam, buy CS 1.6 and all will work so long as you have the right setup.
