View Full Version : Installing UBUNTU on eBox problem

I have a EBOX http://www.compactpc.com.tw/ebox-3850.htm but i can't get Ubuntu installed. After install it say's unpacking kernel....... OK en than the system hangs.

Is there anybody who have ubuntu working on a EBOX

Still need help with this? I'm posting this from an ebox with xubuntu.

Not to hijack the thead, but I got the "same" problem only my ebox 2300 reboot over and over. Ubuntu-server 6.06. Shold I choose a diffrent version? any version that works for sure? I only want the console, then I'll be happy.

I'm using xubuntu hardy on a ebox 4300 Installed using a usb memory card onto a 2gig CF. I set it up to act as a gateway (via um175 usb celluar modem) for my home network. Working out darn good. taking little power to run 24/7. just got done making changes to it so network will come on boot up. I should be able to run it headless now.
