probably very slim. Do you have a soldering iron handy?

Is it completely broken off or is it just bent? If its just bent run a credit card through the pins till its straight.

Honestly, if you just purchased it, contact the store you bought it from and tell them it came like that and ask for a replacement (before you try to solder it). Chances are they will swap it out for a new one.

Not a very honest thing to do.
Honestly...

if the pins broken, bin it, i wouldn't even attempt a solder, the heat alone from the iron will kill it dead.

I suppose the depends how it broke... the poster didn't mention anything about how it happened... I had no reason to suspect it WASN'T a shipping accident ;)

I've soldered to chips before, just need to be at a low temp. Also need to be quick ;)

most new processors come with a warranty, and you probably don't even need to mention how it happened. Unless you bought it OEM. If it's OEM, you probably don't have a warranty.
If there's no chance of getting your money back or getting it exchanged, solder it. You're just going to throw it away anyway. Just make sure not to get any solder anywhere but on that one pin. You'll also have to end up with it clean enough to fit in the hole on the motherboard.
