Hi ppl,

I'm trying to get FastCGI working on a Ubuntu server running with Apache2.

I've used Aptitude to install the libapache2-mod-fastcgi package but according to the following website: http://davidwinter.me.uk/articles/2006/08/09/ubuntu-dapper-web-server-how-to/, a manual install is still required.

I've carried out the manual install steps and now I am trying to do some testing to see if the install has been done correctly.

Has any one else tried to do something similar or have more of a clue as to how to proceed beyond these steps?

Cheers,
Ubu-fan

I am a bit confused: Is it not working, or are you just uncertain if it is working or not?

Sadly enough, I ahve not installed fastcgi on Apache, but on Lighttpd, and that worked without any hassle. Good luck!

I am uncertain because of the various install methods available. I want to be able to test whether I have successfully implemented FastCGI.

If you have any test apps I could borrow (perhaps with instructions of use), I would be very grateful.
