Hey everyone, I'm back. :)
What do you mean, you didn't know I was away... :???:
Anyway, I'm back from the UK, having given out four sets of Ubuntu discs, but I wasn't able to demonstrate any of them. :|
I figured, I'd show people the live CD, than if they were interested they could install the proper one. That's how it's supposed to work isn't it?
Well, out of the only systems I tried with enough RAM to run the demo, one refused to boot from the CD, any CD, despite being set in the BIOS, and the other wouldn't let me access the BIOS inthe first place. I tried a plea for help here (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=46072) , but...
So the only one which is likely to actually get used is one I gave to a friend for his son, who has used linux at college.
