I have a working installation of Fedora 7 on my PS3, though I cannot access the Internet through the built-in wireless adapter. It appears that the system cannot recognise it.

When installing Fedora 7, I just installed the default packages. Are there any additional packages that I need to install? Or do I have to download them from a third party site? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It looks that one controller is taking care of the network since the Wireless and the Ethernet have both the same MAC Address. Even in PS3 Game OS you have to choose wired or wireless.

For YDL is the solution to boot the PS3 without having a Ethernet cable connect to the PS3.

More details are at:

http://www.terrasoftsolutions.com/support/solutions/ydl_5.0/ps3-wifi-config.shtml

But it looks that there is no support for WPA.

I think there is maybe a way with feisty since I got my wificard on my Laptop on wpa.

But for this I have to by a PS3 or ask my friend to try feisty at his PS3 :-)

Possible solution:

need
wpa supplicant must be installed installed

manual configuration more details are available at:

Please let me know if brings you closer.
